Meanwood Jiu Jitsu Club, LeedsÂ
Join us for our sessions now. Beginners, current and former jitsuka all most welcome
We pride ourselves in being a family friendly and inclusive Leeds Jiu Jitsu club.
We teach traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu to both juniors and seniors as a part of a wider organisation, The Jiu Jitsu Foundation (TJJF), which teaches one of the largest and most successful Jiu Jitsu forms in the UK. We are one of several Leeds jiu jitsu clubs and join with several other clubs in Sheffield, Bradford and York to form the Yorkshire region.
We train hard but have plenty of fun along the way.
The first two weeks of classes are free, so do not hesitate to visit us to see if you like the atmosphere and what we are teaching.
Jiu Jitsu is a martial art based on the traditional styles of Jiu Jitsu that originated and developed in medieval Japan. It is a progressive martial art that offers a means of personal and physical development, as well as an effective system of self-defence. We teach the modern and unique Shorinji Kan system of Jiu Jitsu.
With over 3000 active members and several hundred instructors - including specialists in modern sport forms, traditional forms, weapons training, first Aid and Shiatsu, The Jiu Jitsu Foundation is the largest single-style Japanese Jiu Jitsu organisation in Britain.
Jiu Jitsu, Ju Jitsu, Ju Jutsu, Jitsu are often all different names for the same thing.
