Sensei Rebecca Flynn - 1st Dan Black Belt (Shodan)
Rebecca started off her training in Wado-Ryu Karate, which she studied intensely from the tender age of six before being awarded her 2nd Dan black belt in 2005. When she moved to Manchester to study at the University of Manchester, Rebecca found a Jiu Jitsu club where she immersed herself in training 4 – 5 times a week. Under the excellent tuition of the very talented Sensei John Allen, she was awarded her Instructor Level, 1st Kyu Brown belt in 2010 and then more recently attained her Shodan (1st Dan black belt) in 2023. Rebecca is originally a teacher by trade, but also by nature, loving nothing more than passing on the arts to others and helping them grow in their martial arts development.

Sensei Chris Wingate - Brown Belt Instructor (Shodanho)
Chris has been with TJJF for many years, joining whilst studying at the University of Bath. Alongside the Japanese Jiu Jitsu that we teach, he is also an accomplished ground fighter having mastered many Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques and is also trained in Muay Thai. Chris is a humble jitsuka who is always willing to pass on his knowledge to others.
